Just wanted to drop you a note to thank you and your coaching staff for a wonderful experience my son Jimmy had at your camp. He had such a great time that he wants us to sign him up again! It was such a pleasure to see my son so happy in the morning and to be that excited to go to camp and then to hear all the wonderful learning and fun he had during the day. The positive reinforcement each of the coaches gave was great to hear and see. Since I am a teacher I know how hard it is and how rewarding it is to work with children with all different abilities and you all did an outstanding job!!!!!!

Thanks for making this trip/opportunity possible. Headfirst baseball has done so much for me in the past four years. There is one thing that I can guarantee that I will get it done on the ball field as well as in the classroom. If you look at the registration form, you may notice that my current GPA is a 3.0. I know that Brendan will be euphoric to see that as well as Bobby Moran. Headfirst has also changed my perspective of a student athlete. The organization has taught me that there is more in life than just baseball, and that you can only play ball for so long and that you will need something to fall back on.

I wanted to tell you though that he had a wonderful week. He is doing other camps this summer and looks forward to Gamers in the fall.
The other day I bought him several small things at Modell's for the summer sports. At the register he turned to me and said, "Thanks, Mom, for buying me all this stuff." I told him he was welcome and that I appreciated the thank you. He said to me, "You know how was in my mind when I thanked you, Mom? Rob Elwood."
I thought you should know yet again what a tremendous impact to have on the children. This was a wonderful testimony of why we want to continue in the Headfirst Baseball program and juxtaposes my observation of listening to how children talk to one another on the kick-ball field when they emulate more destructive criticism they have heard from other coaches. Keep up the good work and thank you for your hard work with the kids.

Danny said (after pitching on Saturday) that he thought the lesson really helped him. He specifically mentioned you telling him to just look at the batter to see who it is, and then not look at him again. He also said he thought shortening his stride helped. Thanks again!

Between you and me, you would have smiled on Sunday to see Leah get the winning RBI for her team. There were two outs and she had two strikes when she made contact. She couldn't believe the outpouring of hugs and high-fives from her teammates (13 boys). What a special day for her. I think the camp experience really helped.

I've been meaning to email you guys to let you know that the throwing lesson Rob conducted for Sean recently has helped him refine his throwing technique. As I mention to Rob, Sean (and I) learned things that NO ONE ever taught him, such as the proper grip
(for that nice bat swing) and tucking your glove arm in. It's also helped him with pitching - he went 4 innings on Sunday. Thanks again.
